Credit Recovery Online Course Overview
Many students utilize online courses for various reasons throughout their high school career. Some students will need to recover credit lost in order to meet graduation requirements. Others may choose to take online courses to fulfill graduation requirements so that they may enroll in additional courses of interest at PHHS. Students electing to enroll in online courses will need to verify that the accredited service provider and the specific course is accepted by PHHS. Most accredited online providers do charge tuition, typically between $150 and $200 per course.
All fees and registration are the responsibility of the parent and student.
Online service providers accepted by PHHS:
BYU Independent Study
iSchool (Summer School Only)
There are additional online service providers that may also be accepted. Please verify with counselor prior to enrollment. For more information on the service providers listed above, please hover over the "Credit Recovery/ Online Courses" tab on the left hand side of the screen and select the provider of interest from the pop-out box.
It is best to consult with your counselor concerning the plan you develop to recover/earn credits. Once the course has been completed and the transcript is received, the student will be responsible for bringing the transcript to the PHHS Counseling Office.
